At Lehmann School we welcome all types of communicators.

From our unaided communicators who use their bodies or voices to communicate to our students who need aided systems (a tool or device) to communicate, we have multiple resources to assist our students to maximize their potential in this area.

In this photo you see one of our star students, Teagen, using a device called Accent 1400. This device is speech-generating and is powered by the eye gaze of the user. Our Speech and Language Pathologists along with the transdisciplinary team have used the Accent 1400 to give Teagen a voice so he can participate in conversations with peers and adults and indicate his wants and needs. This cutting-edge technology promotes the students’ independence and maximizes their potential.
